A poetic, acerbic, and mystical odyssey. A quest for identity. Introspection. Hovering between the body of dreams and the body as given, the show draws us into a cornfield where the songs of Nana Mouskouri echo. Playwright Dany Boudreault wrote this piece almost by accident—he had originally intended to write a poetry collection. Here, he lays himself bare, discussing—among other things—his delicate demeanor and the moment he gave up trying to fit the mold of masculine strength that dominated his village. An intimate story transforms into a collective one as the cohort’s twelve performers make these words their own.
