The Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe theatre school presents *Le Faiseur* by Gabrielle Chapdelain—an adaptation of the work by Honoré de Balzac, directed by Rose-Anne Déry.
Step into the business world as the Mercadet family grapples with debt and searches for a way out. This comedy explores social dynamics and satirizes the high-stakes world of finance. Originally written by Balzac in 1851 under the title *Mercadet*, the play has been reworked by Gabrielle Chapdelaine to reflect the reality of modern-day Quebec. It is the perfect theatrical experience for laughing at others’ misfortunes just before the holiday season.
