In the heart of downtown Saint-Hyacinthe, the 1555 Public Market invites you to immerse yourself in a historic and vibrant space. Since 1830, this architectural gem, the oldest market in Quebec, has proudly maintained its agri-food vocation.
While walking through its doors, indulge in a gourmet experience where local flavors take center stage. A cheese shop, fruit shop, sausage shop, charcuterie, fish market, bakery, and pastry shop: seven passionate merchants offer high-quality products in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Outside, throughout the seasons, dozens of local and international producers bring the market to life, creating a vibrant market where discoveries and encounters mingle. Market gardeners, maple syrup producers, beekeepers, artisans, and much more. The 1555 Public Market is also a cultural space, with the Expression Exhibition Center on the second floor, which complements the visit with an artistic touch. A place where history, gastronomy and culture meet to awaken all your senses.
